Cricket has now gained immense popularity in the previously non participating regions of the globe too. Considering the fact the  international cricket council has added a bunch of 12  new nations in the associate participating members of the international council.

Recently Ireland and Afghanistan being the most impressive of the associate nations has been awarded with the test status.

The runners up of the 2017 associate cricket  cup “Scotland” recently got a chance to compete the number 1 odi ranked team England and and the list leader of the t20 ranking Pakistan for an odi and a 2 match t20 series respectively.

The Scotish boys were very impressive against England and thrashed the English side by a mere 6 run margin after posting their highest ever team total of 371 runs while batting first. Thanks to their skipper Coetzer’s 58 of 49 balls knock and the star performer Mcloed’s unbeaten 140 of just 94 balls.

But the explosive Pakisani side was too hard to tackle for the Scotland and lost the first t20 match by 48 runs. Though they seemed impressive in some stages of the game but Pakistan was experienced enough to neutralize the Scotish attack.

In the second and all important 2nd and final t20, the Scotish side made some changes in their side by dropping the expensive off break  bowler Tahir to give Pakistan a better competition. Pakistan too made a change by resting their star pace bowler Muhammad Amir and added the new left arm seem bowler Usman Khan Shinwari.

Pakistan charged the Scotish bowlers right from the start as Fakhar and Shehzad added a good 60 runs for the first wicket. Unlike the previous match Pakistan then lost 3 quick wickets and thee match stood all even at that stage. but at the end of the first innings it was all curtains for the Scotish side as Malik blistered a quick 49 of 22 balls sending the ball out of the park for 5 times. Pakistan ended 166-6 in their 20 overs.

Usman Shinwari opened the bowling attack for Pakistan and impressively showed the pavilion path to the inform Scotish openers Munsey and Barrington very early in the innings. Some running fumbles and 3 straight wickets by faheem at the end wrapped the scotish innings for 82 in the 15th over. Pakistan eventually winning it by a handsome 84 runs.

Pakistan won the series 2-0 making it their 7th consecutive series victory that is highest by any country.
